Do you use the case that your XD came with?

Or do you use a different case? Did you customize the SA case's foam moldings in any way?

The only thing bugging me about the SA case is the stickers labeling it as not legal in CA, the UPC code, etc... on it. But I just now looked up how to remove sticker residue and it turns out that a regular pencil eraser is the best way.

But that's beside the point. What kind of hard case do you use for it, if you even use a case?

I use it if i'm traveling.
I got the stickers and gunk off it the hard way, peeling, scraping and rubbing alcohol and used a razor knife to make extra compartments.

I went to walmart and bought a range bag because you quickly realize you need a variety of stuff when you go to the range. I am keeping the hardcase though in case I decide to sell it....a long time from now.

I don't use the factory cases at all. What purpose are you asking about? (Storage, range trips, etc.) At home all of my pistols are stored wrapped in silicone clothes and in the safe. At the range, they are in my zip up padded range mats inside of my range bag.

Any purpose really: storage, range trip, travel, simple locking case if you need to leave it in the car when you go somewhere that doesn't allow carry... just whatever.

I am thinking about getting a nice range bag for trips to the range, but I'm unsure. What kind of range bag do you use, do you have pictures of your setup?

I'm presently running a rangebag from midway: MidwayUSA - MidwayUSA Competition Shooting Range Bag Nylon Black. It is an extremely nice bag, especially for the money. It has an internal bag with adjustable dividers that you can remove if you don't want the whole bag. Plenty of storage spaces. Built in mag holders throughout. Comes with a reload bag. Finally, my favorite feature, the two zip up gun mats that have their own storage area. This bag is perfect for range trips with a few pistols and all of your gear.

For car storage purposes, I run something similar to this: MidwayUSA - Secure-It Large Pistol Security Box 9-1/2" x 6-1/2" x 1-3/4" Steel Black

I have a range bag that can hold two cases, so I regularly bring more than one with me. I also have a magazine case for the XD (holds 6 mags) so in the case for the gun, all it needs to hold is the gun.

I keep all the mags in the mag case all the time, it facilitates life at various competition shoots.

Thumbs up XD Case

The only time that I use the hardcase is for travel if I have to. For the most part, I wear mine all of the time.

My wife got me a range bag from SA for an anniversary gift this year. It is loaded with pockets and features.I always use it when I go off shooting somewhere because I can put everything I need in it.

I only use the cases for travel. It stays out of the case in the safe at home.

I use the 5.11 pistol bag. When I take the Springer case to gunshows (looking for goodies) I get bothered a million times if I am selling. I like walking the shows in peace. Great for the range.
