Springer Precision LLC (AKA) Scott
Is a friggin XD God!! OK as some of you have seen I have been experimenting with the what will work with what stuff and I have found that a XD9 and XD40 Service and Tac will interchange. I shoot IDPA with the 9mm 4 inch and IPSC with the Tac .40 and have a lot of rounds through each on the same frame. Well today I decide to go get the XDM and it's a beautiful piece of hardware. But, curiosity killed the cat (me)!! The Tac slide will go on the XDM Frame and function..... LISTEN CLOSELY HERE!!! IT WILL NOT COME OF THE FRAME!!!!!! That's where Springer Precision LLC comes in!!!! Now I have been a customer of his (not a big one) just one of his customers that likes to talk and experiment. Not only did he go figure out how to fix my screw up (30 min on the phone) he told me of the new stuff that he is working on for a GREAT new pistol!! If you think Springfield's customer service is good.... It doesn't even come close to Springer Precision LLC. He could have told me to send it somewhere or (stick it somewhere) but he didn't he sat down and helped me fix MY screw up!! My purchases will be from him on anything XD from here on out. If you have any doubts to his commitment to our sport put them to bed, he is a class act and a true man you want on your side!! Also his trigger parts are second to none and better than the XDMs. I can't wait until he comes out with the parts for the new one.
BTW here's a pic after they went their separate ways....

very satisfied with Springer work. What was catching that makes the original XD slide stick on the XDM?

Guide rods are different sizes and while it went together like it was meant to be, coming apart is not so simple. The take down arms are very different as well.

Scott is great. Fastest email replies I've ever seen. Hopefully I can find something else he sells that I need.
