Need help with trigger finger placement
So I picked up my XD9SC today, and almost fell in love. I've had a Tac9 for a while, but wanted something that I could conceal. This little thing is sweet! When I got home, I immediately broke it down, cleaned it up, and got to business. With my tactical, I shoot pretty much dead on out to 25 yards. When I started with the SC, all of my shots were between 7-8 o'clock, and 2-3 inches low at 10 yards. I worked through some slow fire drills, and the groups came up, and I'm now shooting at 9 o'clock even, still 2-3 inches out. I knew that there was a chart around here that discussed this issue (found it here:
An excellent training aid for those new to handgun shooting. ) and it says that I'm using too little trigger. So my question is this: What part of the trigger finger do you use? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can't wait to start carrying this, but until I'm on target a little better, it will have to wait. Note: this only happens on faster shots. When I go very slow, there is no problem dumping a mag in one hole with either the sc or the tactical. |

I'm sure it's slightly different for everyone.[/quote]
That's so true. You need to fins what's comfortable for you. Different people, different ideas, different preferences.
