BIG +1 to Powder River!

Just installed the basic safety lever and over travel stop and they are awesome! I had tried Bob's sear and it worked fine, just not exactly what I wanted. Don't get me wrong it was nice, but I was used to a Springer carry job on my last XD and the sear just didn't get close enough.

The Powder River bits got me a lot closer and is very nice. BTW, as all have stated, Daniel and his wife were very helpful. Thanks for a great product.

PS - Since i had both, i though I would see how they worked together. You CAN NOT use Bob's sear and the Powder River Safety lever together! It made for an incredibly short pull, but i could also release the striker without the trigger safety depressed. Just dry firing my own little experiment.

it looks like with those two kits no drilling is required right? I might have to look into that. The trigger pull doesn't bother me on the XD, but the travel before the break does. This kit looks like it takes care of that.

The safety lever pretty much takes care of almost all of the pre-travel and the over travel can be shortened with the easy fit over travel stop. No drilling of anything.

I had bob's sear installed for awhile. After fitting the sear so the pistol's striker safety would work and not get damaged, I installed a springer trigger bar to take care of the fine adjustments.

I found one day that I could ALMOST release the striker without the palm safety being depressed. That was it...sear came out. I was fed up with it anyway.

So I went with the PR safety lever, and kept the springer trigger bar installed. In order to get the overtravel where I wanted, I had to TIG weld a little bit of metal back onto the springer trigger bar. I had filed it to fit with the bob's sear, and now it was fitted with too much overtravel.

After tig'ing the bar, and re-fitting it with the stock sear and PR safety lever, the trigger feels wonderful! I polished some parts up as well. I havent been to the range yet, but hopefully soon. I expect it to feeleven better once I run a few hundred rounds through it...

It was before the DIY parts were available when he custom fit everything to the particular pistol. His work is well worth what he charges, which I think was reasonable. It is just cost prohibitive on shipping. The DIY stuff is close enough for carry. If i were in competition I would send it to him in a heartbeat.

+1. If the shipping now wasn't almost as much as the trigger job, I'd have one done on my IDPA gun today. As it is, I just ordered from Powder River.
