New TFO sights installed!!!!

Got my Tru Glow TFO sights installed yesterday and shot the gun today. I really like the way they look and shot. For anyone looking for a dual sights (great day or nite) I give these 2 thumbs up.

Glad to hear you like them. I'm seriously thinking about getting them. I've never seen these in person but have seen several pictures online. Is the main body of the sight metal? I'm assuming it is, but there are surprisingly a lot of OEM manufacturers that use plastic sights.

Yes they are metal and seem to be very well made. My gunsmith was very impressed with them. He also noted that the XD was the hardest sights to change. Thinks they are pressed in with a 100 ton press!!!!

Thanks for clarification. I assumed they were, but wanted to make sure.

How much did you end up paying for them and for the installation? I know PistolGear has them for about $100, but then I have to get a gunsmith to install them. What were your individual costs?

Congrats on the TFO's. I LOVE mine. I had looked at them forever and finally put some on my Kimber (my previous edc). Now they're on my XD9SC as well and will be on any other gun that gets carry or nightstand duty. GREAT sights!

If you want TFO sights, my suggestion is to send your slide to James at Springfield Armory XD and HS-2000.com He's done 3 sets for me, and lots of other folks on the forum. No charge for sight installation if you buy the TFOs from him.

I would NOT trust a local gunsmith to remove old/install the new sights unless he's down lots of sight installations on XDs. Experience counts!
