XD.45 to .40
Dose any one know if there is a way to turn my XD.45 in to a .40 and how hard it would be. I have seen conversion barrels, is that all ill need or is there more to it. Thanks

Not gonna happen.
9mm/.357SIG/.40S&W are interchangeable, but the .45acp is built on a different frame and the bolt face is too large for the .40S&W.

There is one .45 that has been converted to .40S&W. It was built by Springfield's custom shop for Rob Leatham. From what I've heard it took some pretty serious modification; more than just a barrel swap.

Only conversion barrel I know of for the XD45 is the 400 Corbon conversion barrel.
