I'm looking for a light or laser/light combo for my xd-9. I was looking at the insight x2. Any ideas?

insight X2. I love mine. Its not the brightest or prettiest bit, I can light up an entire room in the dark and the laser is almost perfect. Got mine off of eBay for $120.00

Have this one works okay. Light could be brighter, good for home protection, laser works good, suprised that is taking it on and off
has no effect on it, battery life is good.

Sent you a PM watch4trees.

The Insight X2L is an amazing light for it's size, fantastic for a bedside gun. If you're planning on carrying with any light attached to your XD, you're looking at far fewer holster choices. There are some really nice holsters made for XDs with lights, just not the huge variety you'd get shopping for a standard XD holster.

Yeah I'm not going to be carrying it with the light attached so holsters arent a problem but the info helps. It looks like a pretty good choice. It's my nightstand gun so as long as i can light up a room i'm fine. Thanks a lot guys. appreciate the info

The M6 is approximately 80 lumens. It is the same light as the M3, with a laser incorporated in the design.
Quote:
No other product on the market today offers such a truly integrated system that is as compact and cost effective as the M6 Tactical Laser Illuminator. We've combined the military-proven visible laser technology from the Laser Aiming Module (LAM) with the high intensity torch of the M3, to make an unbeatable tactical combination. The 4-position Mode Selector switch coupled with our patented Slide-Lock mounting design allows mission-specific operation across a variety of tactical platforms. Uses 3 volt lithium batteries. Tactical Flashlight and laser.

The M6X is 125 lumens, and also has shock suppression incorporated amongst other advantages. Here's a quote:
Quote:
M6X offers a peak output of 125 lumens and a minimum run time of one full hour. The Shock Suppression System built into the X-Series protects the xenon-filled incandescent lamp from the abuse of recoil and impact. The enhanced MIL-SPEC design allows the airtight X-Series to be exposed to the world's harshest environments, be it a blinding desert sand storm or swimming to a depth of 66 feet in salt water. The patented Slide-Lock interface allows instant, tool-free mounting and removal from any tactical pistol or shoulder fired weapon equipped with rails or a rail adapter. The Rail-Grabber interface provides an even higher level of accuracy and reliability. If you have a real need for a quality Laser-light combo, you do yourself a favor and check out the M6x
