Why do it? It's a huge waste of good ammo. You can't hit anything bumping. Seems to me that it's just a show off ego trip. I never see guys alone bump firing. It's just a fashion show.
Yep , And it seems to be kinda a (homie) thing.......

Next time we're planning on doing it I'll make sure and clear it through you guys. I'll also make sure not to ask you to buy my ammo. This was not posted for anybodies approval or disapproval but like all other posts just to share a range report.

how about because i paid for the ammo and because i paid for the gun. trust me cops have approached me at the range before, but when i show them the insides of my ar and ak they pretty much cant say anything, im pulling the trigger each time it fires so that still makes it semi auto. bump firing has no practicality but then again what does a shoulder fired full auto weapon, all the soldiers i have talked to say that full auto serves no purpose when shooting at targets, its more for putting alot of lead downrange and keeping heads down. or am i wrong again

sorry i dont consider myself a proclaimed thug, gangster, homie, ese, whatever you wanna call it, im just a regular old guy like all of you. how about i stir the hornets nest.
more bump firing vids! this one is over a year old, notice how fat i am, anyway NOTICE the safety, i keep the rifle pointed down range at all times

No you're not wrong. It also seems kinda lame to bring up an older post just to chime in negativity that was dropped awhile back. Especially being new and within your first 3 posts you're judging people from the board.

I can understand having an opinion on it good or bad. But is it worth the effort to actually type in negativity? Or just close the thread and keep browsing? A little over a month old post and it's going on 1,700 views..so someone must wanna see some bump firing XDs?..I clicked it

How do you bump fire, I have tons of ammo to waste? I kind of want to do it just to see hoe it looks

It's not lame. Maybe he realizes that the easiest way to get an Obamaite legislator on the road to outlawing all semiautomatic weapons is to show videos of 13 year olds turning AR15's into fully automatic weapons through bumping like the one I saw this morning on You Tube.

I don't give a damn if people waste ammo. I don't give a damn what dumbass stuff people do for fun. It means nothing to me. But I do care when people do gun stunts that threaten MY right to keep and carry MY semiautomatic weapons most of which are used for the purpose of self defense.

Turning semiautomatic weapons in effect into full auto by bumping them or using tools like bump boards, Atchison devices, rubber bands etc. or simply techniques of firing is BEGGING for Antis to ban the whole class of weapons since you can't stop them from being bumped.

Bumping is no different than taking a crotch rocket out on a US public highway at 200 mph. Yes... you can do it. Yes... it is fun. And yes no responsible rider should ever do it.

Posting the bump videos simply tempts people to want to see it, to want to learn the techniques, and to want to actually do it. No good can come of it. None.

So Jrad38 is straight on point to express his "negativity". He has the right to do so just as you have the "right" to bump. And quite frankly, I'm glad he did.

If it were up to me and I were moderating the forum, I would 86 anything having to do with converting a semi-automatic weapon into a weapon exhibiting full auto operation whether by modification or technique. I would do so not because of politics but because of self protection. I would not want the liability exposure of making this kind of content available.

Sorry to rain on the parade. I had dropped it and moved on but you guys opened the door again defending this questionable practice.
