Been wanting to do this since I first saw this thread. Finally printed out the target & managed to get to go shoot. The small extra holes were provided by my Father in Law-hope you can forgive them but I didn't have enough practice ammo left to shoot another .[/IMG] If for some reason this image doesn't come up I'll have to try again later out of time. First attempt & posting a pic on a forum-sorry.

15 yds.
XD - 9mm
73/100 pts.

I hurried alittle too much. The two tens were my first two shots. The rest were just me not taking my time. I ran through all ten pretty quick.

I wanted to try 25 yards, but the target holder kept getting stuck at around 20...guess it was messed up. Next time Ill try 25.

Anyone willing to make a summary of what's been posted so far, categorize the calibers, distances, score etc.?

Ok, so I have been doing a little more fiddling with my XDm and got it to shoot more accurately and faster. The major change I made was to switch from the Brooks Tactical AGrip to some skate board tape on the grip. This allowed me to get a more solid and consistent grip on the pistol no matter what the conditions were (Dry hands, wet hands, sweaty hands). Skate board tape isn't for baby soft skin hands though. My hands are pretty callus and rugged already so after 400 rounds they weren’t even phased by the skate board tape. But I am sure that it would give a softer skin hand a real chafing, especially if you are not holding the pistol solidly and letting it shift around in your hand.

Well I decided to give the 15 Yard target another try since my pistol is working the best it has so far. I have posted below my results. This is my best score so far and I am very pleased with the results. I really didn't think I was going to be able to get into the 90+ point range, but here it is in real life.

Date: 7/28/08
Caliber: .40
Pistol: XDm-40
Dist: 15 Yards
Score: 92/100

I have scrubbed through this thread and compiled everyone’s results in an Excel spreadsheet. For ease of view I have taken a screen shot of the results page and listed them below. If you would like a copy of the master spreadsheet send me a PM with your e-mail address and I will send it to you. Hopefully this gathering of results is what you guys were looking for.

Pistol: Auto Ordnance WWII Model 1911A1
Caliber: 45 ACP
Load: 200 gr.LSWC, 5.0 W231, WW primers in mixed brass; 826 fps
Stance: One hand, standing (offhand bullseye stance)
Range: 25 Yards
Score: You guys call it. I have one outside the scoring rings, but a little buck ran out from behind my backstop and sorta distracted me when he stood off about 50 yards away in the prairie grass peeking at me. (Yes, I put the sights on his nose but resisted temptation.) So I shot 11 instead of 10.

Also had the printer set for 'fast draft' and the target printed out sucky. BTW, targets at WalMart are a whole lot cheaper than ink cartridges. I like doing these but won't be printing out many targets.
