What size slide would you buy and why?
Would you buy the 5" or 4" slide in xd-45 and why?

I bought the 4". I like the slightly shorter gun, slightly more concealable, less bulky, balances beautifully. Also I just think it looks cooler.

The answer totally depends on your purpose.
If you intend this to be a range gun ... Go with the 5" slide. It will offer a longer sight radius. It won't be more accurate, but might allow you to aim a little better. If you intend it to be a range/carry gun ... Go with the 4" slide as it will give you a slight advantage as it relates to the ability to clear a holster quicker.

I think the 5" actually "looks" better compared to the Service 4".
But I purchased all 4" models, the fits better in confined places.
