Trigger finger discovery (improved accuracy)
Went to the range this pm to work on some things, and discovered something about how I was pulling the trigger that made a huge difference in accuracy.
I've had this leftward bias in misses, not by a ton, but almost nothing is right of center of the target. I tried some variations of how I was placing my index finger on the trigger, and discovered that I need less finger (i.e., I was too close to the joint, with the trigger in the middle of the pad of the index finger). So I moved to where I'm using more of the tip of my finger, and voila! The shots moved right over. I guess the best way to describe it is that the trigger was roughly in the middle of the pad area of the fingertip; I moved it over to where the trigger is more in the first 1/3 of the finger, toward the tip. I also found out that I'm not lining up the sights quite right, and when I take just a tiny bit more care, I get far better results (go figure M.

Congrats on the new improvement. Do some dry firing at home with the new finger position so that it becomes a natural position.

I found this to be more accurate when I shoot too, even though I have very long fingers and it is more uncomfortable for me to shoot this way. I have found that if I just curl the first joint, my groups get better. Congrats!
