I know, I should say hello first in the Introductions forum, but I just had to get this info to you all ASAP. Last night I sent and e-mail to SA asking if they had any plans to release the XD(m) in 9mm or in .45 sometime in the near future. Today I received an email back with a somewhat grim message. As of now, SA has no plans of making the XD(m) in any other calibers... Take that any way you want but I am sad to hear that. Think it is them trying to keep plans under raps or do you guys honestly think they are not going to release it in other calibers? I hope this is news to some or maybe its just me being an impatient gun owner.

First......welcome to the forums.

Second...........I don't know. If they say they do not have plans to release the XDM in other calibers they prolly don't. That doesn't mean they won't someday release it in other calibers. I think they will wait and see how this one goes over. How much demand the pistol has, what kind of feedback they are getting from the design, etc.

I personally think they have more than enough variations in calibers and sizes and color combinations already. That being said..........I still would like to see the 9mm in tactical with a thumb safety.

And..........how 'bout a 22LR caliber XD???? The way ammo prices are going that is all I will be able to afford soon.

Then.......they could come out with the Red Ryder BB gun model XD. But the liberal democrats in this country that know what is good for us would prolly ban it 'cause "you could shoot your eye out!"

Oh well........just my 2cents.

Didn't they not have plans to release a .45 xd?

They probably will sometime in the future.
