XD40 Subcompact - 9 round mag or 10 round?

I want to purchase some more mags for my subcompact xd40. I'm noticing people are selling 9 rounders and 10 rounders. My xd40 came w/ a 9 round mag and the 12 round mag w/ sleeve. Does a 10 round mag fit in just as nice or should I stick w/ the 9 rounders?

Thanks,

i believe that the 10rd mags for the 40 are the CA legal mags for the 40 service model. but i could just be an idiot. a buddy of mine has the 40SC and his magazine capacities are 9 and 12 respectively.

the true SC magazines are 9 and 12 for the 40, if I remember corectly the 10 round magazines are the same size as the 12 round ones, just with some sort of stop or something so you can only get 10 rounds in them.

All of the 40sc small magazines are 9 round, however the full size magazine come in 12 for all states that do not have a 10 round limit. The 10 round magazine is a full size magazine for states that limit maximum capacity to 10 rounds like California. If your state does not limit the maximum number of rounds there is no need to purchase the 10 round magazine.

Thanks, I was kinda hoping the 10's would closer to the 9's in size - glad I didn't buy 'em before I checked here.

Thanks again!
