I was bad today. . .

Okay, I have a confession. The only reason I am posting this it to assuage my guilt. Confession is good for the soul, right?

Well, I traded in my XD-40 Tactical for a used Glock 17.

There. I said it.

I shoot my XD-9's quite a bit, and I find myself stocking more and more 9mm ammo. I don't think I've fired a .40 in almost a year. I hate owning a gun I don't shoot. 9mm is so much cheaper to shoot, and cheaper to reload.

Lemme see, do I have any more excuses? UHhh.... Nope.

How long will I go before I regret this move?

Well you should have started reloading, then price of ammo would not have been an issue.

We all know Glocks are great guns too man! Ain't no shame, ammo is just to expensive to mess around with these days.

Don't feel bad, Glock's are fine pistols. If you are happy with it, who cares what anyone else thinks? I used to have a G19 I traded off that I kick myself in the butt for for getting rid of. I think you did fine.

The G17 is a very fine combat pistol.

I don't fire 40 much anymore either. The one gun I have in that caliber, P229, I went and bought a 9mm conversion barrel. So its gets used mostly with 9 at the range then drop the 40 barrel back in before putting it back in the nightstand.

Glock definitely has more name recognition. I tell non gun people about the XD and they don't usually know what I'm talking about until I say its like a Glock. LOL.

Well, thanks for the support, guys. And thanks for not roasting me over the coals.

The good thing about this trade was that the dealer let me trade even up. I thought I would have to pay $50-$100 difference. I spent the money I saved on extra mags, extended slide release and mag release.

I guess I don't feel like such a traitor, now. I still shoot my XD-9 Tactical in UPSPA regularly, and my XD-9 service is my wife's go-to house gun.
