New Family Member

I know I have been slacking as I picked up my new toy 2 weeks ago. But I have finaly(blame work) got around to sharing some new family photos with the community.

Well, that said, a few weeks ago, I realized that I was a bit on the skinny side to conceal my XD-9 Service. I used the XD-9 to shoot competition with, so trading it was just out of the question (and a great excuse), to get a new little brother. Well after seaching around for a bit, buds gun shop had some nice prices, so I ordered myself a XD-40sc. With the Subby, I can conceal it much nicer, even with a pierce grip extension. Well, I have said enough...now onto the Gun Porn! Hope you enjoy!

Very nice--seems like a great combo.

You'll have to let us know how it shoots.

Great setup. I have the same pair in 9mm. Have you got to shoot the SC much yet?

If you have shot the 40SC, how does it feel? I thought about the 40SC for CC, but I think my service model wil do well, too.

I have put about 200 rounds through the 40sc, and its nice. It does have a bit more kick to it than the 9, but I think its managable. I have even shot the local "spot shooting" night with it once. Funny that I even had a better night than normal...Though I did manage to take a chuck out of my pinky with the reloading with the extended mag. Doubt Im the only one who has ever caught there finger.

I got the 40 cause I already had 2 9s, and my wife has 2 .45s. Thought I would get something different. I took my friend and his GF when I went for the first time to shoot it, and let them shoot my XD-9 while I was breaking in my 40...Didnt want my 9 to feel left out. they have been thinking about gettig guns, and there CCWs, I told them about the XD, and they both loved it. My friend really liked how the 40 shot, then when we let her shoot it, she picked it up, put 1 round down range, put it down, and said "um, no thanks. That one kicks more". We had a good laugh, but she fell in love with my 9 and has been bugging my friend to get a 9sc soon so she can shoot it.
