Practice, practice, practice. I was shooting my XD low and left, every time, but shooting my other pistols dead center. I did a lot of dry firing and the next time I went to the range I paid attention to my trigger pull. Here are the results, 50rds at 7yds.

ok, I have been trying for the past hour to figure out how to post a picture from photo bucket. I don't think that I have figured out yet.
Now I'm not even worried about the target, I just want to figure out how to post a picture
I did like Bill in San Jose said & chose the one with url before & after.
I just don't understand.
This may be the problem-I only have dial up (rural MS & not paying $80 for satellite) but I gave it a while to download-still nothing.

Here's your picture:

You just had some extra stuff in there at the beginning. Click the "Quote" button on this reply and look at how it's formatted with the IMG tags around it.

Sorry--I hope I didn't threadjack this post too badly!

Was that a 12 gauge and how far away?

Seriously though do you grip with thumbs forward and your left wrist cocked forward? This helps me hold the gun better than any other grip I've tried. I'm much more consistant with this method. The other thing is I had a little trouble with the stock trigger. I shoot all my other guns just fine so I went with the PRP lever and match springs. Now it's miles better. The #1 tip though is practice trigger squeeze without any adverse movements.

The "[IMG" at the beginning was not needed.

In photobucket, there is a box under the picture called "IMG code" which automatically adds the IMG commands to the beginning and end.

OK?

I also shoot low/left BTW. Put on new sights and awaiting a trigger upgrade from Powder River, then I'm going to the range with my friend in LE who's one of the top shooters in the department, and have him figure out what I'm doing wrong. I think I'm flinching anticipating recoil.

A good way to fine tune shooting skills and know what you're doing wrong is to grab a .22 pistol first, look at your shot pattern, then shoot the larger caliber for comparison. Its far easier to adjust poor shooting skills with a low recoil handgun, than using a caliber you tend to anticipate recoil with.

Bill, I hope that those are two women in your avatar and not just some male hippy's from the late 60's
