How is the width of the G26 related to the XD sub.

Has anyone tried both? What are your opinions of each?
Have both, bought the XD9SC first because of the way it felt over the G26. Ended up getting the G26 anyway, and carry it as my main or backup. The XD sadly sits. The G26 to me feels more compact overall.
The XD9SC with its smaller grip just feels and looks "top heavy" compared to the G26.

I sold my G26 to buy my XD9sc.
The XD was much more comfortable in my hand.
The Glock backstrap dug into the palm of my hand.
I had one of the older Glocks without finger grooves.
But Glocks are great guns.
I carried the G26 for 10 years, never a problem.
I have been very happy with the XD.
Sent her off to Tripp's for hard chrome, waiting for her return.

In holster carry the added weight of the XD isn't noticed.
I also prefer the grip safety, striker indicator, and the better loaded chamber indicator on the XD.
Although you can tell when a Glock isn't cocked because the trigger will be closer to the rear as pictured in mvician's post above this one.
Glock;

XD;

I've been known to carry my XD45 compact, but prefer the smaller XD9sc.

I carry the XD9SC. It works well for me.

I can't get but 1 1/2 fingers on the G26 grip and the XD9SC just felt right the first time I picked it up, so I ended up with it this weekend.

You must have some huge meat hooks. I can get everything but my pinkie on the grip and with the Concealed Controllable base plates that doesn't even affect my accuracy.

Large but not fat hands, I can almost hide a Spyderco Endura in my closed hand from the backside. This is factory fresh, no mods, in store, with no add-ons. It's not just the overall handle length, the finger grooves didn't work for me either.

The XD9SC just "fit" better than anything else in that size range, including revolvers. The SIG 226 is the only other gun I have handled other than this that really felt right the first time I picked it up.

It depends on caliber for me. I have larger hands and find the Glock 26 just a little too small, while the XD 9 Sub compact fits me just right, both with the pearce extensions in this case. Now when it comes to a smaller .45 the Glock 30 works perfect in every regard for me. My current carry lineup is the G30 and XD9SC. Both conceal very well with the right holster and clothing.

What holster do you use for concealed carry and in what position do you carry it?

I have an XD-40 Service and I am strongly considering getting a K&D Dakota Defender for it unless I get a small S&W as a BUG.

I admit to carrying a G26 everyday. When it came to a side-by-side comparison, the G26 was clearly the smaller pistol. It has the shorter grip, which makes your pinky dangle, but it also allows for pocket carry. I can shoot this pistol amazingly well at 25 yards, which is more than I can say for ANY small pistol I've ever tried. That's with the standard stubby mags and accompanying 3 finger grip.

That being said, there are a lot of things about Glocks that I don't particularly like. When I'm carrying IWB, I tend to go with one of the other brands. In the world of sub-compacts, I believe Glock remains King of the Hill. I wish it weren't so, b/c I'd much rather have an HK or SIG 9mm that is the size of a PM9. I'm not holding my breath though. When smallest possible size, reliability, and firepower are most important, baby Glocks seem to have been untouched for the past 13 years. Others come close, but there are trade-offs: less reliability, less firepower, more difficult to shoot past 7 yards, etc.
