Polished Barrel pic

just polished my barrel today...used Dremel with brass polish bit and birchwood blue remover. Looks like there is some yellowish tint on it...maybe work on it some more later.

Looks good, maybe a bit more buffing will take the yellow out? Doesn't look too bad actually. Looking good!

Sure, bare metal will be much more suseptible to rust, but just keep it lightly oiled and it shouldn't be a problem. Any light rust can be further buffed out if need be.

Go to your local home depot store and pick up some white jewlers rouge and some more polishing wheels and trust me your barrel will look like a mirror

thats what I did to mine its awesome

I will keep it lightly oiled...plus I live in semi-arid climate..very dry...keeps rust issues to a minimum.
