I brought home my new baby... (yes, an XD-m post)
I couldnt help it, i gave up my XD40 service to replace it with the M. i put money down on it friday, sold the gun yesterday and drove straight to my dealer to pick up this baby. The package they give you is very nice, only gripe is they dont throw in a tool or punch to swap out the backstraps, no big deal, i have plenty.
Some people think this grip is ugly, and while i dont care one way or another, im guessing most of those people havent felt the difference, IMO grip strippling is ugly, and there is no need for it at all with this gun, it bites right into your hand, in a good way They give you a nice thing that outlines the differences incase you bought one without knowing. I also got a slip stating mine is one of the first 5000 pistols to be delivered. Important? no, but kinda cool. hope nothings wrong with the initial run! ![]() And here's the rest of it, most pics on here have been of factory shots, so im adding my own XD-m porn to the archives ![]() ![]() ![]() If you are wondering anything particular about them, go ahead and ask, i havent shot it yet (cant you see the factory oil crap?) but i might get to tonight, otherwise wont be until next weekend, ugh. |

I held one at my LGS, and yes, they do feel real nice in the hand. The grip felt considerably slimmer than the regular XD.
Ummm, you may want to blur out the serial # on that form. Some folks think its taboo to post a guns SN on the interwebs. |

I would expect the XD-M to be real popular with the .40 guys, 16+1 is pretty nuts. I prefer the bi-tone on this model, its dead sexy. I prefer black on regular XDs
I held one at the houston gun show, grip design is questionable but it really does bite into my hand better than the normal XD does.

I'll assume the shops are charging 'full' list or a premium now since it's a new model, and some folks want new at any price. In a month or 2 we'll see better pricing.
Or maybe not.
