XD-9 S/C info?
Hello, I am getting ready to order my XD-9 sub-compact and wanted some info on it. First, who makes the night sights that come with it as an option and what color are they front and rear? Also on that, does the same sights work on the larger XD's or are the s/c's different? Does the slide come in stainless on the two-tone s/c? I really like the way the gun feels and the reviews are great(except for the rusting-which is taken care of now right?)but there are these questions I have, and of course salesmen in the stores arent helpful with the questions.
I basically want three dot tritium sights on it and I like having different colors on the front and rear(as on my sigs). If they are the same color from the factory but good tritium sights then I'll go with them, otherwise Midway has a set of the two color for the service model, but I'm not sure if they would fit on the sub-compact. As far as the stainless, the salesman said the two tone had a stainless slide, as it said stamped on the gun, but I couldn't find where it was stamped on the slide with the two tone(which is why I'm on here as salesmen say whatever to make their money). It seems from write ups as though the rusting problem is taken care of too right? |

You can find some of your info here;
Springfield Armory My XD45 compact came from the factory with Trijicons. There are several aftermarket night sights available. I believe XDs all have the same sights, but I could be mistaken. I've also heard that Sigs and XDs can use the same sights, could be wrong about that as well. Contact our sponsors and they could give you correct answers instead of my speculative ones.... The Bi-tone is stainless. I had that confirmed by Springfield in an email, when a bunch of yahoos were trying to say it was melonited. I have Truglo TFOs on mine, and they're great.

My wife has the XD9sc and we love it. Great pistol, and pretty damn accurate for a 3" barrel.
