Is it necessary to mail in the warranty card?

I bought mine a few months ago and have NOT mailed in the registration. Does it even matter? I still have my receipt form the gun show I would think that would be more important for a warranty...

The receipt or warranty card do not matter to SA, just the gun. If it is an XD it is covered for life.

Not registering the gun will not hurt anything, however, I feel that by registering, you give them a record of who to reach if there is a recall or other problem you should know about.

Hmmm, I never got a card. If I had I wouldn't bother sending it in anyway. You have a serial number on the thing. That's all you need with SA.
