Springer Precision XD Trigger Kit
First post here
I'm getting ready to install a Springer Precision XD Trigger Kit for my XD (.40 S&W. Service Model). I've done a few searches and didn't come up with much, but is there a link anywhere that has some helpful hints/pictures for installing this Trigger Kit?? (PISTOLGEAR | YOUR ONE-STOP SHOP FOR ALL SPRINGFIELD XD) I am in no way a qualified gunsmith, but I am very mechanically inclined. I've torn all kinds of things apart (paintball guns, airsoft guns, and other sorts of firearms), and feel comfortable doing the job myself, just would prefer some pics/helpful hints Thanks Matt |

Thank you sir. I guess I'll report back when I get it done
From what I've been reading there have been issues with the striker spring included with this kit and harder primer ammo such as CCI or Winchestor. has Springer addressed this with a different spring yet? |

Hmm one little spring that I don't know where it goes yet. Must go in the frame assembly somewhere. Resembles the firing pin safety spring, but a little shorter, and wider. Hmm

I think this one looks like it goes in the trigger. Components in the kit
Polished Reduced Travel Sear, Sear Spring, Trigger Spring, Striker Springe, Striker Safety Spring and LCI Spring I have the striker spring installed from the kit, and the safety spring. The trigger spring must be the little one I'm talking about. I'll find out in a few minutes. yeah the other tiny bigger spring does in the trigger. Not sure I can get the little pin out. I can always do it later when I have access to smaller punches. Last edited by Buffman : 05-19-2008 at 06:00 PM. |

Got it together. About 45 minutes of actual work, the rest was playing on the internet.
The only issue I ran into was the sear from springer had a burr or something on the one side. I couldn't get the retaining pin back in, and was wondering what the deal was. a very precise visit to the deburring tool on the dremel took care of the issue |

well apparently I didn't get it back together right. I can't figure out how to get the trigger bar to stay in position. where it's supposed to engage the sear it wants to drop down, and not stay up. I watched the movies linked, but they don't seem to be much help. I don't have to modify the trigger bar with this kit do I?

The trigger spring pushes the trigger bar up in order to engage the safety leaver not the sear. The safety leaver engages the sear. Did you install the Springer trigger bar, if you did then you need to fit it so the trigger will reset.
