A fine file works well. The shape of "A" needs to be retained as you remove enough material that the trigger resets properly. Removing the striker from the slide before fitting the post travel is strongly recommended.

okay i see now. I have to modify A so the bar goes back further so there can be tension on the trigger to trigger bar spring. Stock assembly with stock trigger bar spring functioning correctly.

Buffman did you buy the aftermarket triggerbar or are you using the original. Sounds like you might have the trigger spring in the wrong way.

Notice in this pic how the straight spring leg goes in the slot on the trigger and the curved end latches on the trigger bar bend.

the triggerbar is stock. All i've purchased is the trigger kit as mentioned. The stock assembly works fine. If I just replace that hooked spring that goes to the trigger bar and trigger, on the stock setup, it doesn't work again. Is it possible that spring is messed up?? I have it on the right way per your picture.

I can mod the trigger bar if necessary. I take it Pre-Travel is A and Post-Travel is B?

Thanks Guys.

No with a stock trigger bar you shouldn't won't have reset problems so no fitting is required.

Gotcha. I'll post up pictures of the new trigger bar spring compared to the old one today after work.

Will the trigger kit without the Springer Precision's trigger bar take away all the pre travel, or do you need both?

The kit without the trigger bar will remove about half of the pre-travel.

Good info, thanks. I will most likely be purchasing the trigger bar also then. But first I'll see how it is with just the kit. I can't install it till this weekend probably because Gander Mountain said I wont be able to pick up my gun with newly installed tfo's till then.

As far as the trigger bar, is it fairly easy to do? Or would it be easier to screw it up when trying to fit it?
