if possible could you check if your LCP has had the machining revisions to correct some of the FTE/FTF problems the earlier batches had

yeah it has had the revisions, and it feeds JHP ammo just fine. I don't think the previous owner had cleaned it even once.

Local gunstore here has the LCP for 140 bucks. If it wasn't for the pistol permit process here in NC I would buy one. I go back home in like a month I'll wait until then.

You could keep the 40 and get a 9 conversion barrel for the range. Thats what I did with my Sig which is my bedside gun. Its a 4" barrel so when I was thinking of getting an XD compact which has a 3" I figured it would be best to go with 9mm. Just an option.

I already looked into that and according to Springfield its the only XD .40 that you cant convert.
