In the future...?
I was curious why Springfield is only producing the .45 in the Compact model.
Also, do they plan on making the 9mm in the compact model in the future? I want to stick with a 4" barrel with the XD. This would be a good pistol for my girlfriend. |

You could modify the Service 9 to the sub compact grip size, that would give you what you are looking for.

I havent heard anything about the compact in other calibers. I think someone posted a thread a while ago about SA thinking about the sub compact in .45 but thats all I know of. Dont like the sub compacts?
