Matter of fact, I'm a little bored at the office today. Maybe my tummy hurts and I need to wahoooo outta here early. Hmmm, maybe hit Wal-mart for some ammo and go shoot a round or two .....purely for medicinal purposes.

Got my new XDm
Got it last week, was going to shoot it on last Thursday. Some issues came up at work. I had to fly out to Oklahoma for a couple of days. Now playing catchup. I've had this machine (XDm) for a week now and have not fired it yet. Dry Fired a lot.
Between the XDm and XD SC I have 76 rounds ready to be lobed down the range. I hope to shoot tomorrow. I'm beginning to question my dedication to my shooting fitness. I'm going to try to shoot tomorrow after I put my boat in the water for the first time this year. Anyway, it is tearing me up. I think about it all the time (the XDm/XD sc). I think I'm in Love... |

The new XDm is a good new design. Now I'm interested in one . But I'll wait for the 9mm version....Change is good! at least this one is.

Picked up one of these bad boys tuesday.
All I can say is wow! I absolutely love this gun. I've got a pretty large hand and the large grip fit me well. Changing the grip was a little harder than I though it was gonna be but i was still able to tackle it at the range on the table no problems. I did go ahead and grab a punch and throw it in the range bag. This gun is a great shooter. I was able to keep a 5" pattern at 15 yards with the first 16 rounds I shot through this gun. Trigger is slightly better than my XD 45 but could use a trigger job in my opinion but does reset pretty fast and is very capable of a quick accurate follow up. The first mods will be a little bit heavier guide rod, replace the recoil spring, trigger job, and night sights. I put 450 rounds through it today at the range. No jams, no problems at all. But hell Springfield builds a good gun as I've put over 3000 rounds through my XD 45 and have never had any problems what so ever!!! I am a little dissapointed about the misprint and the fact that Springfield wont send me the 3rd clip i believe the gun should have come with but oh well. I'll order about 4 more clips as well as 2 extenders monday. Check out and shoot this gun, I just about promise you wont be dissapointed!!!

Handled an xdm today and I think I like the regular xd better. The trigger was horrible but it did feel good in the hand. For me I think I will stick with the regular xd's.

It must be personal preference, I can't imagine saying that about the M. I have both and the M is WAY better in many ways. To each his own. Keep shooting.

I still don't understand the problem people have with the trigger. I shot mine and it feels great. the gun handles really well and the trigger pull is fine. I am no expert but I like mine.
