Might be a little bit of a drive depending upon where you are in IN but try Whittaker Guns in owensboro, ky. Anyone can buy a pistol in KY just about.

Great place. They might already be sold out but had the Xd-M on their homepage as in stock just the other day. Knowing how many guns they sale a day - they probably already sold out!

Check out the new Springfield XDm looks to be a big improvement over an already excellent XD series...I REALLY like the grip on this new gun but dang I purchased an XD9 just six months ago and already I want the XDm!!!

i picked one up at the houston gun show, the grip is much better traction wise, the side is easier on the fingers to rack since its not square anymore

with the shape of the slide, it appears that the sight picture will not be so blocky anymore. do you like the new sight picture better? we need pics, lots of pics... not Springfield pics, but user pics... lets see your new gun!

I went to my local shop Saturday afternoon. They had an XDm in stock (all black). Although I would never own a .40, man, it felt *very* good in the hand! Looks real nice, as well. The guy behind the counter said that it had just come in Friday afternoon. He said SA would be coming out with the 9mm version of the XDm next, but he had no idea when. When I asked about the .45 ACP XDm, he just laughed and said, "Not for a while. That'll be the last one they come out with." That's the one that I'm waiting for. Until then. I'll just "make do" with my XD-45.

sorry i meant when i picked one up i just held it, not bought it. Sorry for any confusion. $700 IMO is a bit much for a pistol, and I have 2 XD 9mm's already. I think my next purchase is going to be a Ruger LCP
