It's not doing it for me. I like the old square lines of the previous model.

it looks real to me.. i don't like the dipped cutout that looks PX4-ish.. but, i suppose they did that for people that have smaller hands.. the other thing that looks really strange is the angle treatment to the front of the slide.. it just looks strange..

i don't mind the actual grip area treatment.. it probably improves gripping the pistol.. but, the studs in the grip look pretty harsh, and would probably end up hurting after shooting for awhile..

it also looks like they changed the depth of the area where the grip safety is.. it's deeper than the XDs..

i do like the rear sight on it.. if it is stock..

i wonder if they changed the trigger for this one?? i.e. reduced travel/reset, etc..

overall, it's a strange change.. if they had just angled the sides of the current slide like the rear 2/3rd of the new one, that would be nice on the current XDs..

My guess is it's some competition for the Sig P250. I assume the M is for modular so it's possible there will be interchangeable frames as well as different caliber options. I doubt they would can the XD for the XDM. Most likely just something else to tempt us with. Sorry David...I was typing and didn't see your post.

Funny they would focus on higher capacity magazines when they will be fully banned by the new Democratic President.

Hot Damn! The XD will finally be a legitimate USPSA Limited gun. With extension to make the magazine 140mm 19+ rd magazine should be doable. Anyone want to buy a tricked out XD-40 Tactical and a bunch of magazines? I will definitely be upgrading my competition gun if this is as good as it looks.

Cool

Very cool, where's the thumb safety? And get rid of the grip safety already.
