I may indeed be out there. I've shot the XDM already, so I know it's a go. I have my son (15 yr) this weekend and he's already saved his generous allowance for some WinchWhiteBox......... (course he'll get reimbursed). Just look for two guys shootin an XDM with one of those SE grins.........

Hey, I bought it, didn't I?

I'll try a slip-over.

I never feel right putting my thumb up or holding it off the frame. I'll try it. The best I've found is to set my strong thumb on top of my weak hand thumb. I know that they say 'You're not supposed to cross your thumbs' but at least it's backwards from the way people usually do a thumbs over grip.

I'll have to shoot some more and figure it out.

I own the 45 tactical xd, and i shoot way better with my 45 tactical then the xdm. so does anyone i bring shooting thats never fired either of them!

and my xd doesnt even have a Match Barrel!

another good xdm day

well i was out in bellville again this last weekend having a b-day party for myself with some friends and you know i had to bring the new xdm and put some more rounds through it. i only had 150 rounds with me but a friend brought me a 250 rd box for my bday then another friend showed up with another 250 rd box and at the end of the day there were no more rounds. the gun fits great in my hand with the middle grip that comes on the gun, as well as i have not had any problems with the slide not locking back when the clip is empty. my buddies kept telling me its only a matter of time till it jams or messes up or something. so i loaded both clips and proceded to run through the first clip as quick as possible then drop it to the ground jam the other in and run it out to. i did this about 6-7 times in a row and never had a problem with jamming or slide not locking back. needless to say at the end of our shooting session my friends were seriously considering buying an xdm. by the way they are all GLOCK owners.(sub-compact glock .45, sub-compact glock .40, and full-size glock 9mm) hahaha. my buddy took some pics of the targets i will try to get them and post them up. about 1000 rds. through the gun and no problems, i will keep yall posted in the future.

Isn't it funny that if you have an XDM, you get criticisms from non-XDM owners, and if you have a Glock, you get hit by the XD & XDM owners. I'm starting to think that unless you are shooting beside somebody that has the same gun, one of the two is inferior. Gun preferences rank right up there with tastes in women, they're all different, but all great. Oh well...............

cwood3 i wasnt trying to talk down about their glocks because i can shoot all of them very well too. i just thought it was funny that after shooting their guns and mine that other day they were talking about getting an xdm.

basically all i was trying to do with this post was to put out my review about my xdm now that i have about 1000 rounds through it.

good day to all and happy shooting!

I figure this has already been asked but here goes, as I don't have the time or patience to search it out anymore on the other threads.

I am a new XDm owner. I am left handed. The right handed holster is worthless to me and SA says left handed ones will not be available until sometime next year. That sucks but whatever.

I want to get into some competitive shooting with this weapon but I need a good holster. I don't know which one to buy because I don't know if any of the good holsters will fit the XDm. I hear from Scott Springer that the Blade Tec XD Tactical can be "shaped" to fit. But I like the SERPA holster with the locking trigger.

I need a suggestion for a left handed holster that will fit my requirements. Thank you.
