Get a small brass punch and give it a good whack. Make sure the tip of the punch is as low in the dovetail as you can get it and use a small hammer on the punch. If you want to shoot more to the right -- tap the site to the right. If the first whack isn't enough hit it again.

Two medium taps on my XD-9-SC rear sight and it's perfect.

Yes it will move with a Brass punch and hammer, be sure to secure the slide well before doing it also a little pading wont hurt to keep the finish nice. DO NOT try to do it all in 1 whack, since I know you and think your at the top of the intelligence chain go slow and check progress after each tap. Before youstart put a piece of masking tape in front of the sight and mark it with a pencil or such so you can check movement as we all know the eyes will play tricks on you

PS I'll be out end of July and into August, I'll eyeball that Kimber then and see if it cant be made to function properly like a 1911 should and now that Nevada honors my permit I'll bring a couple of my own.

Don't let the hammer do all of the work. If you press firmly on the punch while tapping it, it will move the sight without having to hit it so hard.
