I have an XD9sc and with a full magazine (10 rounds), the magazine is clanky, I think due to a loose round in the mag. With any other quantity in the mag, its fine, but with 10 its noisy. You can hear the the loose round shaking the mag front to back, but not side to side.
Anyone else have this problem and a solution? Oh yeah, I have tried both Hornady TAPs and Federal Hydrashocks. Also, no noise with FMJ ammo. One more thing to mention, my mags have the piece pinky extension on them. |

My mags are stock and they do that with any ammo. Occasionally if you press the bullets down just a bit, they will get seated correctly and stop rattling...for a while at least.

I have the same problem with my XD .45 when fully loaded. Doesnt cause any problems with feeding though, so I am not too worried about it.

Mine does the same thing with any ammo though, just the 10 rounder. Still kind of bothers me, but have yet to find a solution to it.

Tapping the mag on your palm will usually stop the rattle.

the magazine is easy to load and the 10th round goes in as easy as the first.
a keltec i owned had a similar problem and the fix was to compress the mag a little with pliers. has anyone tried this with the xd mags? |

This has been discussed before, it's perfectly normal and doesn not affect your gun's performance. The "clank" sound that is.
