.40 w/9mm conversion is fine. You will save some $ on 9mm ammo but .40 is more fun to shoot IMO. 45ACP is even better IMO. Have fun.

You likely have heard the saying, "it is better to ask and appear to be dumb, than to not ask and remain that way." (or something like that)

So, because I don't know, is it possible to interchange the slide or barrel of one caliber gun with another, such as putting a 9 cal. barrel on a 40 caliber gun, or vice versa?

I shoot 9mm cause its cheap (what good is a .45cal safe queen?)

AND you can put alot of speedy-ass bullets in a normal size mag.

i was reading about some ballistics on SD 9mm rds and they are fairly gangster so thats a moot point IMHO

You can usually drop a .40 barrel and slide combo onto a 9mm frame lower. The 9mm conversion barrels can be used in a .40 slide and .40 frame.

Funny thing is though. If you back to the original thread, I asked a question about converting my .40 to a 9mm. I didn't make a statement. It one of those things that make ya go "hmmm"
