xd caliber conversion
I've got a .40 tactical with canyon creek trigger job that I love. One of the clubs I shoot doesn't have a production class only limited and open. I was wondering if I could get a 9MM barrel and up my capacity and lower ammo cost? Anybody tried this?

YES. The only problem is extraction because it's a fixed extractor so it can't pivot to make up for the smaller rim diameter. My 9mm conversion in my Tac .40 runs pretty good using good new ammo, but chokes a lot on reloads because the reloaded cases are plumper and tighter to pull after firing.
I think Springer sells the 9mm conversion barrels. If not, Lone Wolf and EFK Firedragon do. |
