Are you going to buy a XD-M?

So who out there likes the xd-m enough to buy one?

I voted "not sure yet". I won't be buying the .40, but will indeed be waiting on the .45 ACP when it comes out. If the .45 gets good reviews after it's released, there's a very good chance I'll be buying one.

Well, I would like to check an XDm out. I have the XD9 SC and an XD45 Tactical (5"). Maybe a .40 would be a nice addition.

I want to have a chance to try one out and then decide. So far I'm not a fan of the .40 S&W in a polymer frame gun, it is the only gun I've shot leaves my hand hurting after I'm finished; haven't had that problem with a steel frame gun. That being said I haven't ever shot one that wasn't extremely accurate.

I presently have two XD45Cs, a 4" and a 5" and a XD40 Tactical, not to mention a S&W 9mm M&P. I've pretty much decided to trade the XD40 in on an XD9SC as I need something a bit easier to carry concealed in the hot Missouri summers. After I have a chance to shoot the XD-M and if the extra weight takes some of the sting out of the recoil I just might consider trading my 4" XD45 in on one.

We've had one in our local gunshop since Monday. Bi-tone 40S&W for $700. I took a second look at it today. The trigger isn't too bad, but if I was going to buy one, it would be for IPSC Limited Class, and I'd get a trigger job anyway. It feels good in the hand, and I like the new rear sights. It would make a good duty sidearm, I believe. It looks like it is meant to be competition for the S&W M&P.

If they came out with one for 9mm, I'm not sure if I'd want one. I shoot my XD-9 Tactical in Production Class IPSC, and any extra magazine capacity would be wasted in Production Class.

I don't have a particular use for it right now, but give me some time. I am sure I can come up with an excuse to buy one!

I voted, YES! I'm #1 on the waiting list for the Bi-Tone model, and I can't wait.

If they produce a .45ACP model, I may.

I voted not sure. The more I looked at it the more I liked it.I think it is good they give S&W some competition, I think it looks better than the S&W, M&P firearm. IF it was a new style as in out with the old and in with the new I would not be very happy . I still like the original XD model more than any other polymer firearm out there.I will wait until it has been around for some time before buying one just to see how well it performs.I will let the folks on this forum who purchase one give their feedback after they give theirs a workout and decide then.
