Barrel/Trigger/etc Polish

I know many people here have polished their barrels...it's something I plan on doing myself sometime soon. However, I'd like to see some pics of what the trigger and slide lock/takedown lever look like when polished as well. I think the levers will look alright, but not sure about the trigger. I'm also not sure if I'd like to polish the trigger safety as well. The black might look good against the polished trigger.

So any pics? I tried looking in the barrel polish threads, but didn't notice any.

I've shipped my XD45 compact barrel and all controls to customizedcreationz.com for a polish job.
I should have everything back late next week.
I'll post some pics of the finished product in a week or two.

Well, I gave the barrel a go today...turned out nice, but not the mirror finish I expect. TBH, I kinda like it this way, though...it's shiny, but rough enough to still see the machine marks. Makes it look like it's actually used every once in a while...I didn't get the cylindrical portion nearly as polished as I would've liked (still see a little black), however since it's rarely seen I'm going to let it go for now. I managed to get the tip of the barrel polished nicely, though. I also polished the feed ramp up a bit, although it was already pretty good.

Not sure if I want to also polish the slide release/takedown lever. Probably not. I might polish the end of the recoil spring assembly as well, although that might look a little corny.

I might get pics up tonight...I"m feeling lazy right now...need more beer...

I tried to polish the barrel myself and no matter how long I worked on it,
I ended up with what you have there.

I could never get the "mirror" finish I was after.
I went ahead and sent my barrel, guide rod, and all my controls to g29cc.

He said with the dremel and flitz polish I have, I will be able to maintain the initial polish he will provide.
I tried it myself, didn't like my results, so I sent it to the pros.
I'll post pics of parts and the gun when I get it put back together.

Yeah, I read about him...I think he's based in Michigan, as well...I might send it to him, I'm not sure. I think I like the "rough" look of it, however a couple more spots seem to need more work. It'll be a slow day at work tomorrow so I might bring it in and polish it for another hour or so...

Did you polish the guide rod as well? I think I like that...I might do that too.
