Welcome to the forum from Cache Valley. I do not know of any ranges in the Salt Lake area as I am in the far north end of the state.
Try UtahConcealedCarry.Com • Index page There are many members in the Salt Lake area who know of local ranges and thier fees and what public areas, ie forest service or BLM land you can travel to and shoot. Good Luck. |

Welcome from Orem!!!
I don't know the Salt Lake County stuff but in Utah County we have: -Orem Recreational Center Gun Range (Orem) -Range Masters of Utah LC (Springville) That is all I know. There is an open and free gun range up in Heber City. Yeah, join us at UCC and also in "Shooter's Calendar" trying to get Utah Shooters together as well.

I'm moving to Murray in two weeks. Anyone know any places around there to shoot?

Just find a hill in the desert to act as a backstop. Indoor ranges suck.
Utah's outdoors are some of the best places to be on the planet. Don't coup yourself up in a noisy range when you can shoot outside.

Head out by Utah Lake on the West side. If you go on a Saturday, you'll see dozens of cars off to the side of the road up on the hillside where folks are shooting. |

If you're looking for a good outdoor range, there's one a couple miles up Parley's canyon at Exit 134 (i believe). Go right and follow the dirt road up. I really like his setup up there. It's $100/ year for a membership or $5/ ea time. he's a really nice guy. The only bad thing is the SLCPD practice up there and they have seniority I guess. So it's basically closed the whole month of June, except for weekends. There's also Lee Kay out by the landfill, but that's aways out from Murray.

Here is the list:
1. Lee Kay Center Firing range - This is an extremely nice outdoor range near Magna. Cheap too. 2. Doug's Shoot'n Sports - Crappy, loud indoor range with lots of lanes. Nice store though. They are in Taylorsville. 3. Impact Guns - Nice indoor range, but only three functional lanes. great store, good people. Again in Taylorsville. 4. Get Some Guns - They are somewhere in the valley (forgot exactly where). Best indoor range in the valley. Very expensive to shoot here. As far as Utah Valley the best indoor range is Range Masters. Great range, good people, good store. Good luck. |

I live in Provo and while Rangemasters is nice it's not close to where you are moving to. I go to the western part of Utah Lake in Utah County and you just look for a nice spot, park and have a good time. Clean up when you are done and go eat afterwards. |
