New XDM
I just visited Springfield's website and saw a couple of videos on the new XD-m (can't do superscript). It looks very appealing, enough to possible get a second job just to afford it. Does anyone know when this is supposed to be available? If you haven't seen it yet, check it out:Springfield Armory

some people here already have them...I would expect them somewhere in your area over the next few weeks or so. Only available in .40
|

Here's one thread.
Here's another. BTW, in one of those threads, Scott Springer of Springer Precision notes that Springfield kind of screwed up the trigger mechanism. So, while the gun looks promising, you may want some mods right off the bat.
