XD-9 SubCompact in San Antonio area...
I tried some months back (not being able to *rent* one anywhere around here) to find someone here in my neck of the woods with an XD-9 sc who would let me accompany you to the range and shoot this pistol. But alas, nothing came of that effort, so I thought I'd try again. I'm thinking that I would really enjoy having one of these, but am loathe to shell out the moola without ever actually firing one.
I'd be happy to treat you to lunch and have you shoot one of my guns while I'm shooting yours (if you so choose), or I'd buy you some 9mm bullets. Thanks in advance to anyone who would be willing to help me in this manner... Sincerely, Amistad |

If you hold out I am sure there will be a taker.
If you for some reason can not find one, just buy the XD. You will like it.

I'm about 300 miles from you, so it would be tough to come up here and try the XD. But I agree with Kent. Buy it, you'll like it!
I used to look down on people with plastic guns. Yes, I even questioned their intelligence for choosing a Glock or XD over the full steel offerings. Then I traded for a XD9SC. First time I shot it, I thought, "Hey, not bad." Second time, "This is a pretty cool pistol." Third time, it became my CCW, or at least it was till the little wife commandeered it. I've shot 115gr WWB FMJ, 115gr JHP, and 147 gr JHP, without a hiccup. Trust me, this is a great firearm. I want another, but haven't decided on another XD9SC or another XD model. |
