Question XD45 with +p ammo

Has anyone heard about problems with the XD-45 if you shoot +P ammo through it

nope... not that I know of.

I've even shot .45 super a time or two.

Probably not best to practice all the time with it.

I would not make it a steady diet, but occasional use seems to be OK with no reported problems that I've seen.

once received an email reply from SA about this same thing......it said something like yes the xd is designed to handle +p and +p+, but it is probably not a good idea to shoot exclusively extra hot loads and make sure most of what you shoot is standard load practice ammo....in no was was that anywhere near verbatim, but you get the idea

If you can afford to shoot +P ammo out of the XD then by all means go ahead

I figure the +P to be like pumping a bit of nitrous into your car's engine. Good every now and then but not good at every stop light...
