Matt'G - Thanks. I guess it's more common sense than anything. The more it's used the more it needs to be cleaned. I just get lazy and would rather shoot than clean!

Don't forget the Blue Wonder Armadillo in addition to normal cleaning and upkeep. In my opinion, this is the single biggest rust prevention step I have been able to do for my slide. I have not seen a spec of rust in over a year since I purchased my XD.
