Having been in Law Enforcement in Texas, I know that Military personnel stationed in Texas, may drive with out of state license plate, do not need an inspection sticker if their home state does not require one and do not have to change their Drivers license. They also are not required to have insurance, if their home state does not require it. That said it appears that Uncle Sam is making them excluded from changing credentials when stationed active duty out of their home state.
