Made myself a new holster!!!

So after driving around all last weekend in search of a black leather holster, my efforts came up empty. The only black ones I could find were either neoprene or wouldn't fit the XD9SC. On the drive home, I thought to myself, why don't I make one?? Hell, I've been making watch straps for Panerais for a while now, I have the skill and materials...

A razor blade, some waxed thread, needles, black cow hide and a couple of hours later, voila! Let me know what you guys think... I did, however cheat a little bit, being that I couldn't find the clips I wanted to use, I bit the bullet and bought a holster to use the clip Anyways, comments and criticisms much appreciated!

Looks very nice.

My only gripe is the ambi-mag release should be covered/protected.

It's not hard for that little button to be pushed (especially IWB)compromising your ammo supply when you need it most!

the pistol does slide down a little more in the pocket, so the mag release is not exposed when it is on. i wore this setup up until i went to bed last night and had no issues with this pack.

thanks for the props

to be honest, i'll tell you that you might be better off going to Gun holsters concealed by SmartCarry concealed holsters and getting one from them. i believe they are 48 bucks and up, and they offer a 60 trial. they would definitely have the right one for your gun.

i made mine because i guess i'm just a cheap bast*rd and i have no patience to wait for one...... LOL

Do you use a machine for the stitching? I use an awl and my stitches work but never look that uniform.

i used a machine for mine, but i ran the machine by hand.

looking at nyse's stitching, i bet he could draw a perfect circle by hand too..

You're faster than my delete button :P I was actually thinking I would be better off either getting a leather pouch to protect the mag when I put it in my pocket
