Yep, most places are either day/month/year or year/month/day, it's only in the USA that we have month/day/year. OTH, the USM uses day/month/year and of course 24 hour time.

My particular XD is dated in January of 2008 as well -- I purchased in mid April so it was about 3 months from test fire to purchase.

Just picked up my 9mm Tactical:

SN US873***
Test fired on Jan 31 2008 by Zivcic T. with a 'NNY' round.

edit: I just saw in one of the prior posts that the serial numbers dont have a connection to the production date...so...never mind

So according to the "linky" me and 2 of my buddies couldnt go to the gun shop and order 3 sequentially serialized XD's? That sucks!

Nope.... but you might be able to special-order 3 sequentially numbered XD's from Springfield Armory. You'd probably pay a premium for that, but it's worth a call/email to SA to at least ask.
