Springfield's website is now updated with all the official info. I am so happy that I waited on purchasing a .40!!! On paper this thing appears to be exactly what I want... too bad I'm in CA... probably won't even see it here in stores till next year

What I want to know is are the internals the same. Will it be possible to use current XD aftermarket parts in the new XD(M)?

X2, I've never really liked how .40's fired, the round shoots very "snappy" compared to a .45 and 9mm.

The fact that the XD(M) has been in the works for roughly 2 years, and no one knew about it, I wouldn't be surprised if other calibers were follow fairly soon. Personally, I'm waiting on a 10mm.
