It's not always gun's fault

Was at the range today. Shot precision fire 25 rounds at 25m and guess what? 20 hit the black in tight groups. Up untill recently my groups were always to the low left and I remmeber people complaining about simmilar problems "with the gun". Well, in my case it was all about trigger pull technique.

I obviously improved as this time I was aiming and hitting where I wanted. Not to the left or to the right. Dead center.

Too bad I forgot to take a cellphone picture of the target, guess you'll have to take my word for it.

I had the same problem, I was always grouping at 7:30, I changed my grip and trigger tech, and now my groupings are dead on

Had the same problem. After 250 rounds, I figured it out and corrected my trigger pull.

My result with 24 rounds.

I'm a southpaw so I started hitting low and right. Strange thing is I shot OK with my S&W m59 it was just the XD when I first got it that would shot low and right. After a while I got used to the trigger and grip and low and right went away.

It is no coincidence you were shooting low and RIGHT (as a lefthander). Same thing happens to righthanders, they shoot low and LEFT. Why? Because of the way we slightly bend our wrist the same time we pull the trigger. Most of the (novice) shooters are not aware of this and often put the blame on their gun rather on themselves.

I'm not saying there is no such thing as misaligned sights and mechanical issues that may contribute to loss of accuracy but IMO, in most cases it's the human factor.

Those are some great groups! Was it rapid fire or precision shooting?
And what caliber is that? Holes seem to be bigger then 9mm but I may be wrong.

The strange thing was I shoot a S&W m59 9mm, Ruger .44 mag, Charter Arms .38 right on target, but I would shoot my XD low and right. I just needed to get used to the different feel of the gun, the grip, trigger, recoil. It was my first polymer gun. I knew it was me just thought is was interesting that changing guns would cause that.
