XD or M&P?

This is probably the stupidest place for me to go for advice and expect unbiased answers(which I won't), but here goes. I was pretty dead set on getting an XD, only to start looking at the M&P's and start to waver. So, basically I need you guys to talk me out of an M&P and back into the XD for sure. lol I'm sure I probably couldn't go wrong with either firearm, but I just don't know. I have a feeling it might come down to whether I want a pistol that comes with a bunch of goodies (XD: holster, ammo pouch, mag loader, etc...) or one that has interchangeable backstraps (M&P).

Xd Or M&p

I have one of each and I believe that they both have pros and cons. I like the capacity of the XD-45 better than my M&P45. I like the sights better on the M&P and I guess I like the trigger better on the M&P also but only after about 200 rounds. I guess only more time will tell the tale with me after I have more rounds down range. Right now I only have about 500 with each.

I have to say the goodies that come with the XD are not all that. Either would be a great choice. Go to a range where you can shoot both of them and shoot em. That is really the only way to settle it.

But I put my money on an XD and have never regreted it!

Yeah, I have yet to fire either one. I have to drive quite a ways to find a place that rents out guns so it will be a while. I've held an XD in my hand and it feels great just sitting there, but not sure what if feels like when fired. The M&P I've never even touched. Can't wait to test them though!

+1

This is the only practical way to decide. It's how I decided between the Glock and the XD.

I went to the range and demo'd all the 9mm's I was interested in. It actually came down to the XD and M+P. I had a bit of a tough time deciding but I ended up with the XD. Shoot them both because you don't want to 2nd guess after you've bought the gun.

Check the most recent issue of Guns & Ammo, the XD was the overall Winner!
