New XD.45 Tact is awesome, I am a Retard!
I just got home from purchasing a new XD 45 Tactical. I had seen the pistol before and had looked it over, so tonight before purchasing I gave it a quick once over. So, I got home tonight and while taking it apart I realized that the "cap" on the end of the recoil spring in missing outside the pistol. The rod sticks out under the barrel but there is a little hole instead of a solid "cap" on the outside.
What should I do?? Call Springfield, call the guy who sold it to me? Anyone else experience this? EDIT: I can't think of a better term then "cap" to describe what it's missing. Re-EDIT: Thanks guys

XD Tactical pistols have a different recoil spring guide rod than Service and Sub Compact pistols. There is no "CAP" on the end of the guide rod -- just the rod itself. You aren't missing anything.

Geez I feel like a moron, but at least I am a much more calm moron  Reason number 145,723 why this forum rocks! Thanks guys. I never realized the tacticals were different.
