Since its your first gun I would recommend 9mm, for the ammo price and its a good caliber to start learning on. If your wallet feels more adventurous then you can go for .40/.45

I would recommend getting the .40 and adding the 9mm conversion barrel so you basically have both. That is if an extra $150 or so for conversion barrel is ok? If not. I would just stick with the 9mm.

thats awesome, i'm kinda in the same boat... but deff getting the .45, just cant decide between the service or compact. if you dont mind, how much did you get the compact for?

compact and service should be the same price. The cheapest here locally is $449 that I have seen.

i havent gone to many places to price check them, but the compacts are running about $10 more than services here, they must be in demand i guess.

Uups.. Yes .45 is a bit more. Those prices I gave were for the 9mm and .40.

45 is a great round, but its expensive, im gunna get to 40sc when ever im not broke, i wish i had more rank, ugh
