I cleaned mine first although it didn't really need it but it did need a little help in the lube dept. I cleaned off the old and lightly relubed in all the right spots. I made it feel like it was slightly smoother than when it was right out of the box.

x2 and also before you leave, ask the service guy how to break her down. my "tactial" buddy and I picked mine up and he was "showing" me how and then ended up locking the barrel in the slide...an honest mistake but something you have to watch out for
