Stange problems with the finish on my XDSC

I cleaned my XD last night after a couple hundred rounds, and I used the same routine as the other 2 times I cleaned it. I used Hoppes solvent and a couple dabs of Remoil for the slide. When wiping it off I noticed some strange problems with the finish.

There is an area on the right/top of the slide where there is discoloring.

There is also some discoloring on the top as shown:

I got this gun within the last two months and I have around 600 rounds through it. It was built recently, so it doesn't have the old finish that people have had problems with. Is this normal? If not, is this something Springfield will warranty? Any suggestions?

Thanks

Have you tried the silicone cloth from Birchwood Casey. My SC has some holster wear that makes the slide look a little off. But ill wipe mine down with it and all is well again.

This might just be a cover up to an actual "problem" but its just my .02.

I haven't used that, but I used a cloth saturated with Remoil and rubbed it well thinking it may help, but it didn't.
